My neighbors dog killed one of my chickens. I put up a large pen enclosed with poultry netting powered with a 10,000 volt charger. About 6 months after the attack, the same dog lifted his leg and peed on said fence. Suffice it to say, karma has a funny way of coming around. If he wasn't already nuetered he would have been after peeing on the fence.

Justleesa thank you - I feel less of a freak now.

You're not alone. I don't like to travel either. Have done enough of it for a life time, been everywhere I want to go. Now it's hard to get me off this little chicken farm, let alone out of the county.

Here is my mini intro ❤
Hubby and I moved from Hawaii to the farmlands of Idaho several years ago. Hubby right away started raising chickens, various breeds, Ancona ducks and pilgrim geese (baaaaad move - no longer have them). Our flocks have always been pretty healthy, but the numbers always fluctuated, due to intruders on the property. We have build taller fences and have watched guard when we let them out....but it’s never enough. Just got attacked again on Christmas Day.

On the bright her side we always have a good supply of eggs!

uh oh... I just got my first Pilgrims. I love them! But what happened??? Do you still raise Anconas?? I am looking to get more ducks. I didn't realize we can import them... so now my plan to order from the hatchery is over.
