I think she might lay again today. She's in the coop now, same spot. Five of the other girls went in and she got huffy and left. I think she wanted her privacy. I'll check on her in a bit.

First eggs are the best! You ever wonder what goes through a poor chickens mind the first time they feel an egg on its way out?

I witnessed one of my girls laying her first egg the other day. Shes always been a little not all there but her first lay confirmed my suspicions that she was off. She was standing in the middle of the run eating, gave one big push, popped out an egg, then went back to eating didnt faze her one bit
