Kat’s Journey into Chicken Keeping

Pics
Good afternoon. I am late to the party this morning. DH got sick at work yesterday - lightheaded, dizzy, nauseated - and I had to take him to ER, where we spent the rest of the day.
After labwork, EKG’s, a Cat Scan of his brain, etc., they decided he is having Vertigo.
So after drugging him up with things that make you high and stoned and sleepy, we left with a prescription for Anti-Vert, came home and went to bed at 7:30 (after I took care of the dogs, cat, ducks and chickens).
And after coughing, sneezing, and itchy sinuses all day, I took all my allergy meds and slept until 8 am this morning.
So, that was a lost day.
I'm so sorry to hear this Kat! I'm very late to the party. I hope you are both feeling better today! :hugs

I am so pleased. I am getting three eggs a day this week. Of course I thanked the Girls for the beautiful eggs!
I swear, I am like a little kid at Christmas!🎄🎅

It never gets old. I am excited everytime I get one of out beige eggs!

Is it my imagination or do the girls EAT more since they are laying eggs?
Because I have to tell you, they are gobbling up the food and pooping bigly!!! 💩💩
Its not your imagination,,,, When egg production is on,,, intake has to equal output.
My girls are on strike for the season, so I hardly see much of the feed consumed. They have feed available in bowl , in run area, and I remove, and secure in metal can for the night.
