Not sure if you updated or not your current duck roster. I know there have been escapes, and returns, but not all of them, at least all together.
Have you considered wing clipping as an option??
I personally would handle matter differently.

Friends, at this point I think all my hens are finally laying. I got 8 eggs from 8 hens this morning!
The only one who didn’t lay yet is Princess.
So today I found a funny looking egg for sure. The bird who did it laid it out in the run.
I know it’s NOT Blanche, or Buffy, or the Wellie sisters because I know what their eggs look like.
Check out my crazy egg!

I might have to take this suggestion under consideration. :lau
At this point, they have been gone over a week.
They have been coming and going since after Thanksgiving. Some days I have one duck, some days two, and occasionally a flock.
But for the past week, no ducks!
I want to mention that I started out with 10.
One died, but the rest just went rogue on me.

Feckless birds ducks are.

Ducks are magnificent pets,, especially if you have a pond. They just need to be skooled :gig on curfew and boundaries. I'm not a duck whisperer,, so cant be much help.
Still think the feather clipping is best solution.
In times past, when I would bring home a new adult flighty chicken, I did clip feathers, but just once. Chicken did not escape in flight over my 6 foot contained run area. When feathers grew back chicken had no desire to escape. or leave. ALL MY CHICKENS :loveME :thumbsup
