I picked up this second-hand brooder from a couple who raise chickens. I found their ad on Craigslist.

It’s not pretty but it’s very well made and very sturdy. After I cleaned it up it looked pretty good. It has two heat lamps if needed, one on each end. I have one on, on one end, so they can warm up if they like, or not.
So I transferred the babies from my spare bedroom this morning.

I hadn’t posted this but the oldest three chicks moved out into the run a week ago. I have that special little fenced off area in the run for new integrating chicks.
Look how much they have grown!

Yeah. I’m guilty. Bought chicks three different times. Then the mail order came. This little girl is one of the last (and final) group!
