I hope you aren't getting the overall impression that my mom doesn't do anything. I know you aren't meaning it in a mean way, so don't think that I'm trying to say you are. I'm just wondering if that's what you're starting to think.
She is a very busy mom. She has 8 kids, a farm with 2 acres of garden that has to be weeded and watered all by hand, a CSA, and lots more stuff to manage. She is very busy all the time, so it's understandable why she can't personally cook all of our meals, and why I help her do so often.
My dad is out of town working nearly all the time, so he's not around to help with stuff around the house. We only get to see him for a day or two every several weeks.
