please do. When Noodle got prolapse the only surviving progeny of hers was Jackson. Theoretically. Not only was she my favorite hen she was also my best quality.

Tempted to text my friend who attended that I know about the pheasant. She doesn't know that I know someone who went :p
 
Agh! Marbles the Ancona is broody! We still get her white eggs, but would she please stop sitting on the other ones?
I wouldn't even trust her with plastic eggs though, so why bother trying, Marbles.
She pretends to sit for a few hours and leaves. She doesn't even growl though, all she does is acknowledge me when I reach under her.
Nice try, buddy, but I am not giving you any Buckeye eggs.

Not sure if many people saw it though, it was in an inner corner. Only saw it because we decided to buy Anconas.
 
Wasn't even planning on buying the Anconas. I think that was the first time birds were bought without intention beforehand. Then again, we were kind of looking for more of the breed, and we bought from the seller previously. There were Welsummers, which we also wanted, but kind of low on space here, and though we want a cockerel, we don't have to buy just one. And space issues.

My brother will be looking for mottled japanese females. And I may try to haggle for a few MF D'Uccle pullets.

But in all likely hood we won't buy because my dad would probably kill us. I'll probably just have my brother work with what we have.

Oh. Mom was curious of what breeds you own and I was said "d'Uccles," but kind of wondered how important this was if I knew you weren't selling. Hopefully, we will be there at the same time. It's actually a 1 and a half hour drive but I'm still "just looking."
