Got a 3rd D'Uccle egg today!
That's 3 eggs in 4 days of lay. Much more productive than I expected.

I'm thinking I will set Tuesday night because I may have a half dozen by then. I don't want to hatch more than 10 chicks at a time because I don't have a brooder big enough to handle that load. Although, males may be eliminated early.

Muffin has laid 6 eggs in a week before. Oh, and why would you eliminate the males?

I'm thinking I'll keep them until they reach 3 months. I'll cull the obviously bad ones and pick the best one and sell the rest.

I sent some home with my Japanese foreign exchange student. (As well as photocopies out of one of my poultry books of Japanese breeds so she could explain the same things to her family as I explained to her.)

Plus, an awesome scrapbook that we made together! (Displaying my horrible handwriting.) But I love it. We both drew pictures and wrote entries.
