Morning everyone.
All my chicks survived their first night outside! Temps went down to 14C(57F) for the overnight low. i had to set up a second heat lamp to keep the ambiant temp warmer. The lower one was about a foot off the floor and it was dropping down to 20C(72F) just on the edge of the light on the floor. Once i got the second light set up the tiny bantam chicks settled down.
I went out there at 9 this morning day time high today is supposed to be 36. It was already that warm inside with the heat lamps on. So i turned them off. I've never had chicks outside in a brooder in the summer before.
