I’m going to hate admitting this. But here goes

Okay. Well, when I was little I had only 1 parent, my mother. I lived with my grandmother for the longest time. I was about 14 when she passed. I never quite had opportunities like my cousins and other kids my age did. So I’m going to just spit it out - I’ve never been hunting and/or fishing. Ever.

Kayla, there's plenty of time to learn those things... My son was mad at me because I never taught him to hunt. When he was ready to learn, I was... well kind of done killing things. I'd killed too many things (mostly humans) in my life and saw no reason to kill anything else.

I got over it and took him bird hunting on a preserve and then took him deer hunting. By the time this happened he understood my issues very clearly after spending his time in Iraq. He enjoyed his pheasants, quail and deer.

When I was young, I got mad at my Dad because he wouldn't take me hunting with him. It was during the steal strikes back in the 60's. He'd leave before sun up and would not come home until well after dark. When he did come home, he went down the block passing out the game he had captured to the neighbors. I was too young to understand that what he was doing was providing meat to other steal workers on the block. Folks who had no money and no source of meat. Hind sight is way better than 20/20.

well... I’m not in the mood to watch spn. So I’m here still :D

BTW, I'd love to take you fishing, even if virtually. :D
Lol, same here. I would definitely suck at it, but at least you won’t be able to laugh at me in person :D :gig

I don’t think I could go hunting though. I don’t have the heart to kill furry animals.

:hugs Thanks, I really enjoyed reading this. I’m studying for nursing, so when I accidentally kill someone (hoping this doesn’t happen, I’d like to not get sued) I’ll think of you (for totally different reasons though)

Fishing is relaxing... you bait a hook, toss it in the water and just wait. Best if you bring a book. It's so relaxing, just hanging out on the water and waiting. Then it get's real exciting when the fish strikes the bait. Then you have to get it into the boat.
Sounds peaceful. Although, when you add me and anything easy, I’m bound to find some way to accidentally mess up
