looks like a salamander. My kids have quite a few in an old aquarium set up with wet peat and dirt. They eat earthworms, beetles, spiders stuff like that. What kind of lizard is this?Theres quite a few. View attachment 2411576
Hmm. So if I did catch one I could just put dirt in as the substrate and feed it earthworms and stuff?looks like a salamander. My kids have quite a few in an old aquarium set up with wet peat and dirt. They eat earthworms, beetles, spiders stuff like that.
I'm down to 13 at the moment. Very impressed with myself for getting that low for the winter. I still have 2 roosters so I could theoretically go even lower, but so long as they don't fight I'll be keeping them both.So how many birds do y’all have?
Well I hope all those eggies hatch!I'm down to 13 at the moment. Very impressed with myself for getting that low for the winter. I still have 2 roosters so I could theoretically go even lower, but so long as they don't fight I'll be keeping them both.
That being said I do have an incu running with I think there's 59 still in there. Egg cartons and tipping it by hand is actually working so I'm pretty impressed with how many I could fit in my Hovabator.
Yep. They prefer damp areas under rocks and what not, they usually are out of sight. I just filled the aquarium halfway, and gave them a rock and a clump of grass to hide in and as many earthworms as I could find. They dig underground to hunt too.Hmm. Ohh okay awesome! Sounds simple enough. The ones I found were under old hay from when I cleaned out the duck pen. And it recently rained. So it makes sense.Yep. They're supposed to hibernate, I'm not sure right next to my heater was the best idea, but they don't seem to mind.
