I guess I just don’t know how to keep bugs alive

I've never tried so I'm no help, sorry

For those of us who spent a lifetime killing them, how does one keep bugs alive. I imagine the fishing sites might have some info. I've often bought live bugs for fishing...

ETA: @CSAchook how do you keep bugs alive or grow them?

Hey Kayla, have you tried to raise mealworms? The pupae make for good eating for lizards and such!

Well I’m sure mealworms would be sooo much easier. Buuut my gecko doesn’t like them. I still have twenty five live ones in the fridge. I can keep those alive but not crickets!

The thing is I’ve been able to keep these mealworms alive for weeks! The pet store assured me he would eat them but he won’t. After I finally got him to eat one, he was done. The crickets, I can’t even get to survive for more than a few days.

I watched a youtube vid, the guys gecko literally would take the pupae out of his hand! pretty funny to watch!
