Kayla’s Flock!

Gah. I hate talking about myself and my problems in a world where bigger issues exist
But right now in real life I am in a position where nobody wants to listen to me, and everyone thinks I should be focusing my whole on school including not caring for my birds. Soooo..... And my parents want me to quit my job which is the only thing paying for their feed.
Cy, we’re all here to listen. If you have an issue you’d like to discuss here, go right ahead :)

I understand what you’re saying. :hugs
I'm really, really going to hate leaving home..
Animals are literally the only thing keeping me sane and alive sometimes; they're the only thing irl that I care about. When I leave and go to college without any animals to care for I'm going to be in serious mental trouble. I'm not kidding.

I feel you on that one. That’s 80% of why almost all my classes take place online.

Well, see above post for the importance of my animals to my mental health.

This is where my parents are right now with the animals:
Rehome my two dogs because they are too much to handle, butcher all chickens because of economics, euthanize my senior cat when he starts to go downhill in health.

See the problem here? They get rid of the animals and then my stability is gone.

Sometimes parents don’t seem to understand things when it comes to pets & animals. I’m really really sorry you’re having to face these kinds of decisions at the moment

It's alright. I think I'll get through this.
I have a study hall next hour so I'll work on my online course then just so that I can actually be productive.

Why does my family think getting another pet/dog/cat will help me stop grieving over Coco? It’s not. I’m fact, I think it’d make it worse. :idunno
It will make it worse. Getting new chickens NEVER replaced the heartache of my originals that I've lost because my mom was stupid and let my dog out without a leash.
