Kayla’s Flock!

Pics
I've put a lot of effort into thinning the predator population, but it's inevitable that I'll still loose some. I aggressively hunt and trap certain areas and leave others untended. Some of my birds have started wandering into those areas. So far, they've all made it back for bed time.
We’ve had foxes, but they’ve never hurt the flock (mostly because my other neighbors own a few chooks their selves and shoot them and are on the verge of shooting those dogs that the one particular neighbor keeps on getting). I might try to free range today- we’ll see how it goes. The neighbor that has all the dogs we’ll call him George... he has about 11 already! :barnie they’ll come in my yard (the shock collar George bought... the batteries are dead!!) and they bark and bark and bark my 4 dogs don’t deserve to stay in their kennel all day because of them. :barnie ugh

Flock update:
My flock is doing great! I got a total of 3 eggs yesterday- only 3. Sephora, Pandora, Nancy, and Rose are sharing their own coop now! :woot No problems yet!! :ya I cleaned coops and re-did the hay in the nest boxes- in case any free loaders wanted to lay!

Joke of the day!:
That face you make when chicken mom picks you up but you have to use the bathroom :lau
