Kayla’s Hatches, Chicks, Ducklings, keets, Etc!

So as we know Ellen the silkie hatched 9/9 guineafowl eggs, and the guinea hen herself hatched 5/7... long story short one died due to issues after hatching... the guinea (named Buckwheat) was a HORRIBLE mother! She was constantly stepping on her 5 keets and making them cry... So on their 2nd day of life I gave those 5 to the silkie. So, the silkie has 13 keets and loves them all the same :love

The keets are all 2 weeks old now and growing like weeds! Only problem now is that Buckwheat has been standing outside of their coop and calling for them... making 'her' 5 go INSANE trying to get to outside "momma"! The ones hatched by the silkie are unimpressed with Buckwheat’s calls and pretty much ignore them. :lau

I’m aware this is an issue that likely can’t be solved (unless anyone has suggestions of course), but I just thought I’d post about it... crazy guineafowl. :rolleyes:

Boooorrrriiinngg... we just sat around all day and waited to see what this storm was gonna do.. it didn’t do much of anything where I’m at.. thank goodness... cooled the gals off though so they were happy!
How did your big day go? Did you eat some cake for me :lol:
