Kayla’s Hatching Journey!

Pay attention when you pick up an egg to candle. Keep the egg in the exact position the entire time, move the flashlight and not the egg.
Hmmm.....never really heard this one, I spin the egg all the time when I candle and certainly don't keep in the 'exact' position. I also don't candle hourly. I candle Day 0-7-10-14-18 and trace the air cell every time I candle.

Day 1... I noticed these little calcium “spots” on one of the EE eggs and I candled it to make sure there wasn’t anything wrong on the inside, on the inside (when candled) the calcium spots turn a fluorescent brown color(?)

Porous egg shell, sometimes they hatch fine others not so much. Have had quite a few of those, but never recorded exact ratio on hatched or not. Nice to have a leghorn egg, sooo easy to candle, hope that one develops for you.

:D I look soooo bad! But at least Grace (my sis) looks beautiful :)
No make up more beautiful IMO.

Oh, forgot to add these.

Not sure I can keep up with what probably will become a chat fest,
