I got some Serama eggs from another BYC member here back in Jan....none hatched. :-(

BUT I got 2 Serama eggs in a bunch of eggs I got from Dipsy Doodle Doo on here (my 3rd box of eggs from Lisa!!!) and both hatched!!! WooHoo! I am so excited and blessed that they both hatched little cuties.

If you're looking for someone to test eggs, our family would love to help you. We live about as far as you can get from you, (Western NY)
and it's still mighty cold here. So if that's somrthing you want to try as far as distance and how long it'll take to get here, etc, e-mail me and let me know. Happy Hatching.

Wegotchickens - yes, I totally forgot that yours, along with onthespot's eggs spent a week in transit. I shipped AFTER the government holiday, but I guess that still didnt matter.

I'm thrilled to see that those who received their eggs in the normal transit time are having great hatches!!!!

I think once the PO falls behind they don't go any extra to catch back up. So one day off means a week of catching up.
And then if there's bad weather ANYWHERE along the route, that slows packages, too. Pretty disappointing.

Day 21 I have 3 pipping out of the 11. Will let you know how the next couple days go! These are the eggs that went to my mom in Texas then drove with her to Alabama!!

I candled a few days ago, with a flashlight held in my fist, so it wasn't very clear, everything glowed red from the light shing through my fingers, but I had five clear, eight wth "something" and some I saw for sure veins. Some I thought might be blood rings or bad eggs, but under the circumstances I just left them because i didn't see anything for sure "bad" enough to toss. Hen is setting tight and doing good.

What do you mean by test eggs?

People will send out eggs they are trying to test the fertility on. They usually have you to pay only shipping for the eggs. If they hatch you get to keep the chicks.

I have one little yellow fuzzy butt so far!!

I am not sure if my 6 Serama eggs I ordered from you are test eggs or not, but,so far they all appear to be developing on day 7. I see lots of movement and the eye. Mine came all the way to Michigan. Very well packaged.
