Yeah, the red kinda makes them look like huskies haha I too like the more traditional silver I think. Although I still think he’s gorgeous. I am sure he won’t be homeless for long like you said.

And thanks! I didn’t even think I missed him that much still, I mean, I knew I did, I loved him a lot and still think about him, but I haven’t cried about him in a while, really since he died, and even then not that much because I knew he was in pain and ready to go. Didn’t really cry or only a little until a while later when it started hitting me that he was really gone. But seeing those videos last night, man it still hurts and it’s still just as fresh. :hit

I think what made me cry the most was seeing him healthy. After watching that video where he was pretty sick, I found a bunch more from when he was younger and looked so healthy and happy and handsome. :hit

Sounds like you haven't properly grieved for him yet. I am still working on a few that have been gone for years. Grief for a dog is easy sometimes to push away because you don't want to deal with those feelings.

It's also probably why you haven't gotten another dog yet. :hugs

This is your thread, so I expect to see lots of dogs. :)

Thank you, that makes sense. I think that’s exactly what I’ve done and also I’ve had so much else going on and so much else to do and deal with that I really haven’t had the time either as stupid as that sounds.

And yeah, I thought I was ready but now idk if I am. :hmm

I don’t wanna replace Gator but at the same time I really think getting a dog would help because I’ve been in a bit of a funk lately and I think a dog would help with that but idk.

I also have to wait anyway cause I need to save more and find an actual job first besides the pet walking/sitting so I’m kind of waiting on purpose but I also don’t know if I’m ready.

But then I also feel like getting a dog first might make me more motivated to get up/find one/do stuff haha

Thanks, that’s true. I definitely don’t want to rush it.

And yeah, I love researching all the different breeds and learning about them all! Not just dogs. Different species too haha
 
I him and haw over dogs until I see "the one". Than I'm scrambling to get it. I'm sure when you see something that is right you will get it. Probably you know that it will be near impossible to get out on your own toting a dog. That's why you are waiting. Otherwise you would have 20 dogs by now. :lol:

Hm that’s true! I think I do that too! And yes that too!! Lol and I want to make sure I have the time and money for it too haha also part of why I’m considering a smaller dog now instead of a Golden. Although I did find a place that will take them. But not many do.

Idk. I’m also debating just buying land/house instead. Renting seems like such a waste of money to me haha
