Keep nesting box neater?

I line my nest boxes with sprigs of rosemary and lavender. It makes my whole coop smell fresh. I may add some lemongrass too, since I also have an abundance of lemongrass. I figure the herbs will prevent mites, in addition to smelling nice and being fairly soft, clean and fresh.

I have used shavings and hay. I live in Florida so now I use the spanish moss from my trees and no more problems.
