Just an update... The trip went well. We did hit some bad weather on the way down but we did make it safely. I just want to say again that I am very blessed to have the two girls that I do because we don't have the money for Christmas this year and neither one of them has complained about it. They keep telling me, "Mom, we told you it's okay. We don't need any Christmas presents this year." Of course, being a mother, this tears me apart knowing I can't give them anything but at the same time makes me very proud to have them as daughters that aren't displaying the materialistic attitude that we see so much of anymore. The oldest didn't complain about the memorial services being on her birthday (not that I could hear or that got back to me anyway), but made the comment "this is the first time I've ever got to spend my birthday with all my cousins." I have tried so hard to teach my girls to find the positive in what seems to be the worst situation, and I think my efforts are paying off. Anyway, that is enough rambling for now.
