BrahmaMama, ya, the hen knew what she was doing this time but she is not a good ma hen, although she is a good broody, really sticks to the nest. So I took the egg rather than put it back under her. I figured I would hatch it out in the house. I take all her babies because once they hatch she has nothing to do with them. Her other egg hatched last night and by the time I found out the chick had frozen. She would not even keep it warm for 2 hours.
