What is a good way to keep a single rooster so that he won't get bored and fat?

One idea is to give him a punching bag like this one

He will not be bored, for sure. LOL

If you could give him a coop and run and a couple hens, then he would probably be fine.

Are you planning to only have the 1 rooster in a coop or is the 1 rooster going to be with some hens?

He’s a gamefowl rooster, right? Game roos usually don’t overbreed their hens, so he should be good with only one or two of them for company.

Yes. Well he is a chick right now. The males will need to be separated soon, but I want to let them grow for a year or 2 before deciding which one to keep. Do gamefowl roosters go through the "teenage" phase where they violently force hens to mate? I can give each male chick a hen if they won't harass the hens.

Generally, they’re a lot less rough. But, I don’t have any first-hand experience with them, so I couldn’t say if they go through the rough cockerel stage.
