Keeping a super fluffy booty clean

So my little bit grew up to be a big, floofy girl. Her ba-donk-a-donk is worthy of a rap song. I was worried that she was getting diarrhea based on her dirty tail feathers, but after monitoring her it is obvious that's not the case. So is it ok to give her a butt fluff trim? Just enough to keep her clean? I know you have to watch the shaft of the feather so they don't bleed.
