I have 3 (1 primary, 2 hatchers usually)bators and 3 brooders. My dh fell behind on his projects and my eggs hatched a day early. I wanted to use my ex-lg incubator as a brooder until tomorrow. I have chicks in there with the light and turned the fan off. Anyone ever had a problem doing this? Temp is low 90's and they have food and water. Does anyone see a problem here? Dh needs to finish the second coop cuz my mutt roos (13 weeks)would attack the 8 week olds, so they can't go in the same area (can you say stewpot?) and they are tying up my biggest brooder.

Thanks
Krista

I have used my extra bator for a brooder for up to 3 days and fed and watered them in it.. I leave it same hatching temp. and the fan on as usual..
It can get pretty stinky tho! Makes a safe brooder box in a pinch...good luck...
