Keeping female Ducks quiet? (Khaki Campbell)

I have 2 one year old khaki Campbells and one of my girls Loo is a noisy bad duck. The other one Lily is a quiet good duck. I also have neighbor issues I worry about. Some mornings Loo screams her head off yet other mornings she is good. Have you concidered other quieter breeds? I love my girls very much and am prepared to fight a good fight if it comes to town noise issues. But if I had to do it over , I would rethink the breed for sure.

We actually hadn't planned on keeping ducks but our dog killed Colonel's mother and siblings so we decided to keep him. I don't want to get different breed females because I want to breed him with other KCs.

As far as i know the KC's are the most vocal breed you can even get!
I have four breeds, Buff Orpington, Indian Runner, Magpie and White Layer:

• Buff Orpington: Friendly, docile ducks, talk only when excited
• Indian Runner: Very quiet ducks, except for when they find my peppermint bush
• Magpie: A bit skiddish, don't talk too much, but have a shriek voice, a bit like geese
• White Layer: Big white tank ducks, noisy, cheeky, permanently squacking.
  Make your ears fall off when they get excited!

If you can't have noisy ducks, you can't have female KCs, so you won't be able to breed your male no matter what. If you get females of a quiet species, you'll have exactly as many KC eggs as if you didn't get any females, but your male will be happier.
Also, a drake without hens should NOT be allowed near chickens! There's potential for him to seriously injure them due to differing anatomy.

Which is why since we can't have female ducks, Colonel will become a pet duck. Hopefully we'll be able to find a house sometime this year as we've been trying to move for a while.

2: get female ducks of other species, have no fertile KC eggs, probably no trouble with neighbors
3: get male ducks, have no fertile KC eggs, no trouble
4: get no ducks, have no fertile KC eggs, no trouble, duck may be lonely and will cause trouble for chickens
Option 1 isn't viable here. Options 2, 3, and 4 all produce no KC eggs. Option 4 has the additional issues of potentially having a lonely duck and potentially injuring your chickens. With that in mind, why not pick 2 or 3? You don't have to incubate any mutt eggs you get out of the female ducks, if you get females.

Are the ducks going to be safe from your dog? Seems like such a shame to get more, if not.
