keeping geese with chickens

I can say from experience that they CAN get along with chickens if raised around them! I bought my goslings at 6 days old and I made sure to socialize them with my 8 hens. They're now adults and are kept in the same outdoor enclosure as my chickens and ducks. They won't attack the chickens, but they don't like the chickens getting in their personal space. There will be an occasional nip on the butt from the geese, but no one ever really gets hurt. So if you're planning on keeping geese with chickens, I'd advise getting goslings and getting them used to your chickens! :)

Chickens and geese will get along just fine if raised together. Some people will use one goose to protect the chickens. I have read other stories too of chickens and geese doing just fine together. Maybe other people will chime in on the subject.

Given enough space, geese and chickens can exist. Geese generally get a little more territorial when breeding, but if the chickens can stay out of their way there are few problems.

All our birds share the same fenced-in pastures, but have their own homes at night. Except for a "Swedish-Ancona" duck who seems to think she is a goose (she hatched with them) this works out great. Geese were added as yearlings and they do well. The head rooster and the gander fight from time to time but there are few injuries and everyone knows their place. Usually the roo instigates as he wants to be the top bird but, alas, is not due to the gander. Drakes on the other hand can be a little rougher during breeding season, but that is another topic.

Yes, chickens and geese get along fine but separate night quarters are appreciated by all involved!
