Hi all,

Not sure if this is the right place for a random question like this - but wondering how you all wash down your shoes/boots after working in the coop or even walking around in your backyard if your chickens free range?

We have a smaller 50's home in Minneapolis. Not a huge entry/backdoor area (or mudroom unfortunately). So we've been hosing down our shoes/boots after cleaning out the coop or even just visiting/treating our three chickens who love to wander all over the backyard and on to our deck. There's not a lot of poop but we have 1 year old so I like to keep things pretty clean as she puts everything in her mouth and walks all over our home.

Anyway, random - but just wondering what you all do. I'm wondering if I should just get a pair of rubber boots to wear when I'm working outside.

Thanks!!

I keep an old pair of shoes just inside the back door that I slip on to go to the Coop. My one-year old grandson loves to go with me. I slip a quart size baggie over his shoes to make it easy for him to visit without messing up his shoes.
