I’m a first timer with chicks. I have 7 Buff Orpington chicks ranging from a couple days old, weeks old and two-three weeks old. I was initially assuming I’d be getting chicks that were all the same age but ended up with a mixture. I’m using the EcoGlow but unsure about how high to adjust it considering the heights of the chicks are all different. Should I switch to a brooder lamp to ensure the youngest ones are warm enough or do you think they’re fine? Thanks!

Set the heat pad with 2 legs higher than the other 2 (legs are usually adjustable, otherwise you can prop up 2 legs on bricks or something. The height at the lower end should be low enough that the smallest chick can still press against it.

That’s a great idea, the legs are adjustable. I’ll be doing that now. Thank you so much!
