Much to my surprise one of my white leghorns went broody on sept. 4th. Today is day 7 and she's still doing her thing
I candled the eggs tonight and all 7 (1 of hers and the rest her sisters) had spidery veins running through. It's my first time with chickens and I really didn't expect or plan to have any hatch here, but now that it's a possibility I'm so excited it's practically all I think about....I'm boring the crap out of my co-workers talking about it..LOL.
Papa is a young Roo a friend gave to me. He looks a lot like a black star. His feathers are barred like a Dominique but he has a single comb and pink legs....any ideas on what the chicks may look like if I'm lucky enough to get some?
