I hope I'm in the right forum, sorry if I'm not.
Anyway, our Australorp rooster is about a little over a year old and have been pretty sweet (He wasn't cuddly, but he was calm and ok with us being near).
But about a week or two ago he started to attack me and became quite unpredictable overall towards me, mom and dad. After that, it just went downhill and he started to get worse, attacked me again, then attacked my dad and if you turned your back, he would try to sneak up on you etc. So we decided it would be for the best to cull him
But I still kinda want to hatch some eggs after him and I know that the aggression could be inherited in the cockerels, but what about pullets? (And cockerels hatched after said pullets?) I thought that maybe I could hatch the eggs, only keep the pullets and then get a nice rooster to keep with them and the adult hens.
So what do you guys think? Would it be worth a try or should I just skip this idea?
