keeping roos together....

Hey all, I have four 6 month old silkie cockerels that were raised together in a coop without any females...I recently acquired an older silkie rooster around 15 months old and was wondering if I could place him in with the younger roosters or will that be a mistake? they will be away from the hens unable to see the girls but could hear them.

You can give it a try. Animals are unpredictable! I'd be available to intervene if necessary.

You ARE talking about after an appropriate quarantine period, right?

I agree with the above poster. Just be there to step in if needed. Definitely keep the new rooster quarantined to start off though.
