It is Ohio state law that requires you to apply for a permit because quail are a game bird

I don't have one that is specifically for quail, but I keep track of all of my birds in a google drive speadsheet. I have different sheets for each species and keep track of hatch dates, any illnesses, where they come from and if I sell them, who bought them, etc.

Love it but so sounds like u need some kind of permit but im trying to hatch button quails and i dont got no extra for permit rn so go for it \o.o/ on day 13 wish me luck

I would use a spreadsheet unless you plan on having more than 50-100 birds.

It is state law in Ohio its $20 a yr if you get caught without one it could be upto a $5,000. Fine these are the laws just so you know

I have 147quail they are all banded so I will just have to make a spreadsheet for them thanks
