How does everyone keep their chickens water cool in this horrible hot temperature?? I have a big Tupperware like pail I fill with drinking water and they also have a small kiddie pool that they just LOVE wading in. Right now I'm freezing empty milk gallons and those 2 litre coke bottles but boy is this ALOT of work!! I need several of them just to cool the little pool and one for the water.. they're NOT light!! THEN I have to go pick ALL those up and change them out for fresh ones after about 3-4 hours!! I've become a slave to this situation!! I adore these two girls, but having fibromyalgia, it's not easy doing all this!! Anyone have any ideas that would make my life easier that wouldn't cost a fortune?? Thanks SO much!!

I let the water overflow for a few minutes. This not only cools the water but it also cleans the water and gives them puddles to splash in. Also if I am not going to be home I let the water slowly drip, they love to stand under it.

Thank you! We're also just buying a mister also. That should help with the heat at least..

Yes we have used a mister to it works great I forgot about that.I have not put it up this year. I totally forgot I had it. We used it on our goats, dogs, turkeys, and chickens last year.
