That's more difficult to treat because the antibiotics needed are not at feed stores.Probably should be treating for e. coli too based on all the available information posted
I should have some, if not I will buy more ASAP. I was just keeping their box super clean. If mine I would probable treat for coccidiosis too. Do you have any Corid?
Sounds like you already have some great ideas: change feed, give high dose amprolium, keep vent/scabbed area clean. It seems likely that crusty stuff is dried diarrhea, so keeping the skin clean of it would he helpful. I guess that your temperatures are good and they have clean water? Have you tried some probiotics in water, or a little yogurt? At about 3-7 days old, I start giving my keets and chicks some long (1-2 feet) edible plants (weeds, grass clumps, etc) with intact root ball from healthy soil, which I think helps to inoculate their gut with good microbes. I really hope that your remaining keets make it!I should have some, if not I will buy more ASAP. I was just keeping their box super clean.
Thanks !
