Flame cried out as Aed changed back to his horse form and slammed into him, knocking him all the way to the ground. Flame's eyes rolled back in his head as he lots consciousness from the pain of three daggers in his shoulder. Blood poured from his shoulder and Aed rubbed his muzzle in it til it was bloody, then turned to face the others.

With a small cry of pain, Maria stumbled forwards, her legs crumpling under her body as everything went back. She fell awkwardly onto her side and her head rolled backwards, a whisp of her long brown hair resting across her face and neck.

Atlanta heard her cry and burst from the bushes. She gasped and shifted to her human form to kneel beside Maria. "Maria? Maria!"
