Hey y'all! I'm sure some of you have been following my hatch-a-longs and growth threads on different chicken breeds... I have made so many that it is quite hard to keep up with so I am making this thread to post all my future hatch-a-long stuff AND growth logs! SO that being said.... I am now starting a brand new hatch-a-long here! I use a NR 360° incubator and have had amazing hatch rates. This will be like my 6th or 7th hatch using this incubator and honestly the only thing I don't like is it can be difficult to clean after use. I have became good friends with qtips and a toothbrush. Lol. Anyways... I just bought some eggs yesterday to hatch! This is my first time buying eggs from someone. I usually use my own chickens eggs but I wanted to expand on my breeds and when I saw a ad on CL for ayam cemani, turken and true blue hatching eggs I just couldn't resist. I brought home 24 eggs total. I got 6 True blue, 6 Turken and 12 Ayam Cemani! Now since I have 2 dozen and my incubator only holds 22 I actually just layed 2 of the eggs on the top of the rest and I turn them by hand a few times a day. So here we are with our 21 day countdown! Ok so I had a thread going for a growth log on my 9 F1 silkie/EE chicks that were hatched October 18th... I am now moving this growth log to here so I will be tagging some people in a bit that were following the previous thread. :) Here are the babies now! One is now getting some brown coloring in their feathers! My favorite (most white markings) is still getting prettier and I am still convinced they are a roo. xD They all have teeny little feathers poking out their heads and it's so cute. A couple have lost the feathers on the feet but most still have it. I'll keep updating y'all here on them so please be sure to follow this thread and follow me! ❤
