Kentucky people

The last week I have been in chicken heaven. We had chicks hatch a little over a week ago. I love watching them learn new things from mama. And my father in-law got a beautiful 8 month old buff orpington roo. Never thought I would love chickens this much

Warning!!! Chickens are addictive! I started with 7 Barred Rocks, 6 hens and a roo, about 2-1/2 years ago. I now have 65+/- chickens of 8 different breeds. I have had over 100 chickens at one time. :th  And that doesn't count the turkeys or the ducks. You will love having chickens, but you have been forewarned!

You aren't kidding about them being addictive I was given 12 hens last August and with in a week we decided we want 50 or more. Now I am trying to talk my husband into ducks
