Hi everyone!! So glad to see so many kentuckians! I am from the Madisonville/Hopkins county area. My husband and I just recently got into raising ducks. We have cayuga's, khaki campbells, a white crested, and a khaki crested. We are definitely new to all of this so learning as we go, but loving every minute of it.
 
I’m looking for a breeder of lavender and blue silkies. Wanting nice breeder quality (I don’t intend to show) but definitely want typey chicks. Looking for someone who’ll ship to eastern Kentucky and take a money order. I’ll buy a straight run of course. I’ve tried contacting a breeder in CA (kiss my chicks) but no response as of yet. Anyone know of any breeders? Any help would be appreciated.
 
Hey yall, I'm a Kentucky girl born and raised! I'm from Nicholas Co. My husband and I recently moved back out on the family farm and its amazing having the space to do what we please. We used to have a bunch of hens but before we moved to town someone was supposed to be baby sitting the girls for us and left the coop door open one night and you can very well guess what happened. Fast forward a few years and since were back out in the country we hatched out 12 mixed chicks. We are so happy to be back in the chicken business, oh how I missed it!

Is there anyone close to Nicholas Co? I'd love to make friends with some other crazy chicken people near me!
 
Hello fellow Kenyuckians. I live in a very small rural area in Wolfe Co./Campton, Ky. Just joined a short time ago, looking forward to hear from any and all of you. I grew up with chickens but didn't think much about them as they had always been there. Haven't had any in a long time, going to try my hand at incubating a few chicks to see how it goes. Glad to be a part of the BYC family, stop by and give me a shout anytime.

Howdy! I'm new 'round these parts.

I'm in Bullitt county (south of Louisville). Got 12 pullets and 1 surprise cockerel. Ameraucana, SLW, Polish, and possibly Cochins... they're still my mystery chickies.
