I need to talk hubby into going to Sano this friday.
I'm bummed, btw -
Roger had to go pick up the pig today (we still have to take it to the butcher tomorrow) but he didnt bother to call til tonight, after he had it -- he KNEW I wanted to go look at those chickens (he was the one who told me about them in the first place
). I NEED those chickens. Sheesh, so now I have to wait til Wednesday to go over there.
I'm getting a headache - I'm gonna get off here awhile and go pout.
This would be the same person you were supposed to help with transportation a while back that never bothered to call you and tell you he didn't need you right? What a butt.
What really ticks me off is that he KNEW I wanted the chickens - I told him that I have more orders for eggs than I have eggs. (heck, he gets HIS eggs from me, you'd think he would pull his head out and think).
The reasoning behind him going today was that tomorrow is a Holiday for the Amish folks, but even so, he could have called me and said "meet me there" or something. (hubby stopped by there the other day, I don't know how to find it, but Hubby does.)
So, I'm going over tomorrow to drop hubby off so they can go to take the pig in, and I intend to let him know how dissapointed I was that he totally blew me off when he knew I wanted to go to see about the chickens.
Hubby is in this "buy the chickens" mood, and I don't want to bypass that
I need to get 'em while the getting is good (Cindy understands what I mean
Oh, btw - I got a better look at that chick (still just the one) it has gold tips on it's wings. Or it looks gold, anyway, I had a heat lamp right next to the nest box, but whatever
anyone know what a dark chick with gold (or yellow or white) tipped wings would be?
I just candled my frizzle eggs from DDD, and it looks like I'm down to 2
Not sure what the problem was, well the first problem was that stupid LG. I could not get the temp regulated to save my life! But since I got the hova I have lost 2 more. One looked good last night when I candled it, and it is gone now
But those 2 seramas are still going strong, so figure that one out? Everyone says how hard seramas are to hatch, and my 2 are doing better than the frizzles!!
Plus it also looks like none of my quail hen's eggs are fertile
So now I have no hen (that one anyway) and no babies from her
This has just not been my week!!
But on a good note, my replacement ameracauna eggs arrived today!
