what part of ky are you in?
and what types of pullets do you have?
i am definently interested.

Most all my birds are bantams, but my dad has some standard sized chicks that run around the yard that don't show any symptoms of it. That doesn't mean that they don't have it, but they don't look like they do. Yet, anyway. I'm outside of Columbia, out 206.

No idea, the one time I put other eggs under a broody, she was already trying to sit for a couple of weeks, so I just swapped the other eggs for some purchased eggs. Three of those hatched (cause it got really cold and other hens were laying in her nest).

I forgot about those chicks - I only got one pullet out of those, though, it's an olive egger - a welsumer mixed with easter egger - she's about a month old, I think (might be a bit older, I'd have to look at my records). The other two that hatched are cockerels. I had to seperate the cockerels at three weeks cause they were fighting themselves bloody even at that young.

Yeah, I had planned to sell her, I don't like the mix - they seem aggressive to me, but maybe it's just the two roos. They were fine with people - just fought with each other.

I was planning to take her to auction next time I went, but if you want her, you can buy her, instead. I was planning on trying for 6 bucks out of her. I usually end up negotiating, though

The standards are mostly mixes. There is one RIR cockerel, and some buff orps that look pure, but other than that, they are all mixes. What are you looking for? Egg layers, meat birds?

He has I think 3 that look like pure orps, but they have some dark tail feathers. Then there are some that are orp mixed with something, not really sure what, but they are interesting looking. There is one SLW pullet, and some that are brahma and SLW mix, or brahma and RIR mix, (Meri got a lot of her hens from my dad). There is one that is RIR mix, but has grey-blue tail feathers, not sure where she got that from? Has to be SLW, since that was the only dark roos in there that she would have gotten 'blue' feathers from. But they are all egg/meat types.

Well, Toby is going to have to be tied up from now on - or I'll have to get rid of him (or kill him).

He loves the chickens - protects them really well - but today when I went to take Jon to work he killed that splash call duck pair while I was gone

I'll try to tie him up and see how that works, but I can't have him killing my livestock so he will probably have to go.

I guess he just doesn't like ducks.

I'll have to ask my dad to be sure, but I would think it would be $10 each. They are POL, or at least as close as they can get without actually laying yet. They are about 4 months old or so. I'll check with him when he gets home from church. If we did meet im C-ville, it would probably need to be the end of the month at least. We don't go there too often. I have a dr. appt end of the month in C-ville, so we could probably meet you then. Like I said, I'll ask him when he gets home.
