Kentucky people

Ok, back (man this site is moving slow tonight!!)

yeah, he is stopping by on his way to work. Nothing like telling people you have two or three others wanting to stop by the next day to get them to hurry up and move on anitem

It's true, though, I aint lying to them.

I make quite a bit of sales off craigslist. I make probably as much as I do at sano - sometimes much more than at Sano (cause ya know how they are out there about bargains).

In the last two months I've had probably 6 sales from Craigslist - pretty cool, IMO

All the sales have been good ones, because if someone is gonna drive that far to get to ya, they are willing to spend the money on birds (unlike sano where they figure you'll be back next week with the same stuff....)

Either that, or they figure you are only there cause you really need to get rid of the stuff. I think that's why I sold my quail so fast that last time. I had been there the week before with them, and everyone wanted me to sell them for $1 each. I took them back home with me, they more than pay for their feed. So I guess the next week the guys figured they had to get them if they wanted them, cause I wasn't budging!! They keep asking me about females (quail). I hope they are ready to pay for them!! I know how badly they want them, and I'm going to charge at least $5 each on them!!

yeah, I usually sell stuff the second time if it doesn't sell the first time - weird, eh?

And got the Buff Cochin instead of the black... I couldn't take Meri's Nana #2...Just wouldn't feel right after she gave me BC back.

So as it stands it is BC, Raven, and Peanut Butter(she's grooming so couldn't get good pic yet).

Hey Meri, I think those pullets you caught out of the original coop might be Campines... Look them up on Feathersite and tell me what you think.
I placed the pullets on a limb in the Holly tree at the Casadas and a little game roo immediately flew up in the tree and pranced back and forth and crowed and just kept eyeing the new girls...It was so cute.

cool

I know she laid an egg every day, cause she was like clockwork every afternoon - I'd go in looking for eggs, and she'd be in on the nest waiting and eyeing me like "busy here, go away now".

Hey Cindy, that little splash girl has gone broody on me!! I kept hearing someone screeching when they were going to bed, and thinking the worst I went running out there. She is sitting in the nest, just as cute as can be! Good thing she is inside the tractor, so I can lock her up. Now I'll have to get another nest out there for the japs to lay in....I swear, these broodies are going to drive me nuts!!!

eta - looked up campines, I don't think that's them - the chicks were white when I got them. (well, yellow)

I'd have to look at the hatchery site where I got them from and find out what they have that might fit that pattern. I got those in that 110 chick order from the hatchery up in PA - I have the flier they included (it's their version of a catalog). I'll check that out later and let ya know if I find anything.

That male button I got from ya is still worried about being in a new place - I hope he settles down and mixes with the girl (and the two jumbo babies). Poor guy, he just keeps running around the bin I have them in.

I want to get a 10 gal tank for those two to put them out in the living room or something, so I can watch them.

He should settle down, just give him a few days. He's been used to being in very large groups, so it might take a little while. He probably doesn't know what to do having a girl all to himself!
