Two of my pgymy does are prego and ready to drop any time now.... I'm not sure of their conception date as one was a rescue and the other somehow was gotten to by my Wether during his transition...

I had to crimp the poor guy three times before I just ended up putting a rubber band on them since he was sooo big he didn't fit into the regular bander.....

One of my rescue babies died... We didn't do a necropsy(sp?) due to the expense but the Vet said he had phnemonia (sp?)....

Take some pictures and post them... I'd love to see the group....

Still no word from Chuck.... Guess my Muscovies will go to the stock yards this weekend.....
 
Jamie called again this morning - dang coyote is still running his usual route. I went out, but didn't see him. I think I heard a smallish animal crying in the woods, so maybe he got breakfast somewhere besides my chicken yard today.

Toby saw me grab the gun and whined in excitement to go with me. Guess ya can't take the "hunt" out of a hunting bred dog - even if they've never been hunting before. Must be something genetic. I figure if Toby's nose didn't pick up anything close, then the coyote probably went a different way this morning, instead of up the fenceline.

I ever get that sucker I'm gonna tan his hide and hang it on the chicken coop. Maybe put his skull on a stake out front (ala Vlad Dracul

Dad and my kid went to walk down to Little Cake Church to get his truck, that should be interesting. I bet Cris will be whining and griping all day when they get back! I hope they get a ride, it's at least 2 miles!

Luckily they only walked to the 'neighbors' house (still probably 1/2 - 1 mile), so he's not too grumpy.

That stupid bus driver has aggravated me for the last time. I spoke with Cindy on the phone about this, but I'll re-hash it for you all.

Those of you that have been at my house know how long our driveway is. For those that haven't, it's at least 1/4 mile long. It takes about 5-10 minutes to walk down there, depending on how much I have to yell at the kid, etc. etc. There is a creek that crosses the driveway almost to the road. Maybe 50-75 feet from the road. The creek is, of course, lined with trees, plus the land on the north side is owned by the government, and they only mow it once or twice a year at most, so the grass is pretty high.

That stupid bus driver does not even bother to slow down if we are not practically standing in the road where he can see us. Today, Cris and I were on the road side of the creek in the driveway when we heard the bus coming. If that stupid jerk would just slow down and turn his head a bit, he would have seen us. This has happened at least 4 times so far this year.

On top of this the bus was 10 minutes early at least. He is supposed to come through around 6:45 - 6:50. It was 6:45 when we got back to the house, after he zoomed right past us.

And I just realized today was picture day, and I don't know when the make up day is. So I most likely won't have pictures to send with Christmas cards this year.

What ever happened to the bus drivers that would stop and honk their horns? Or at least slow down and see if you are coming?? I could understand if we were all the way at the house, but last winter we were once, and he did stop.

I just don't get what this guy's problem is, he is such a jerk!
