Hey guys!

I haven't been around much lately! We hatched 1 of about 9 eggs in the inubator, made me sad, BUT I did get Hoss, a golden sebright.

I also got my chick order in on Friday. One baby silkie died, NOT good, but to be expected. We've got the webcam on them and Hubby is super excited that so many school kids and home schooled kids are watching them grow! He's the tech guy for the school system, I don't guess he can help but combine technology with education

Kygal - Thats cool about the webcam

I wanted bantams and they're not in yet... guess its a good thing, cause I would have brought home 6 and I already have 36 eggs in the bator, lol

Hello Kentucky!

Just a reminder that there are still lots of towns and cities right here in Kentucky up for grabs in the BYC Chicken L.O.R.E. Project!

This is a massive undertaking, and everyone is encouraged to participate! Your knowledge of Chicken L.O.R.E. will earn you GFM Scratch, which are good towards new GFM Memberships, Membership extensions, or Membership gifts.

Remember - you don't have to select a city in Kentucky - cruise the selection list and choose any city still available!

Get started now! Click on the Chicken L.O.R.E. link above for all the details, and remember your Project Managers are here to help in any way we can.

Good Luck, and Thanx for Joining In!

Hi Friends, I haven't had chickens for years...and am moving from FL to Kentucky and was wondering if you could point me in the right direction for what the laws are. My hubby will be working in Louisville, and we need to know how much land we need to buy to be able to have BYC. I want to go as natural as possible, so a little more land would be better. I just don't know the city and county codes. Any input before we look for a house?

Thanks, anne

I am looking for at least one bronze hen turkey. I would like several, but I know they usually come in pairs with a tom. I would take a tom to get a hen. If anyone knows where I might find one please let me know. Thanks yall!
