I would say if it has a two syllable call, that you have yourself a girl!!

My male guineas just have a kind of squeek sound, unless they are spooked or something, then they all go running around screaming!!

<edit> Sorry you had to get rid of Coco, but he will probably be better off. I hope he gets to go somewhere with a big yard to run in!!

Are girls meaner than boys? Or are they all about the same?

ETA: Talking Guineas by the way... If 10 yr old DS had seen me asking this he would have said they were meaner...There's a girl at school that is really mean to him, I told him she had a crush on him was why...He doesn't understand.

Sorry ya had to get rid of Coco, but yeah, you are really close to the road, and people just rip around that corner!!

We'll have to get you to come along with us sometime to the auction. Since I came home with empty cages, hubby will probably trust me to go without his supervision again

Only problem is you'd have to drive home after dark. Not sure how much ya like to drive (I love to drive, so no biggie forme). But, you can get some fantastic deals there when they have a lot of poultry.

I had the roos re-homed shortly after carrying them through the crowd. I knew Attila would draw attention - he is big and colorful. Happily the guy took Flav, too, LOL.

Now all I have left is Blue.
ChknLvnFam - let me know if ya still want me to hang onto him. I understand if it's too far to drive for a roo - you could probably find one closer to you. Just let me know so I can get him a home somewhere else if ya don't want him. I can just take him to the auction next friday (and maybe get a piggy) if you don't want him.

Even if I do get a piggy, he can still share the coop cell with Blue - I'm sure Blue wouldn't mind sharing for a little while, LOL.

Peace -
Meri

Im in Mt. Sterling. Sano looks like a 3 hour run one way, might have to pass on that for now!
But it sounds like fun.

Mine are pretty much the same, but the girls seem to be somewhat calmer. But they all bully the chickens, especially when I start throwing the scratch down!!

You should have seen her poor beagle when it saw that pig - you could just hear her ask "What is that UGLY PUPPY doing in that cage?"

meri

Either that, or she was trying to figure out how she was gonna kill that rat!!

Hey Meri, ChknLvnFam are the ones that want Coco...Does hubby need another tractor part? I asked them if we could bring Coco to them(Layne really wants to see where he'll be) maybe we could take Blue too. The last msg they sent me they said they'll be picking Blue up from you.

That explains some of it's rude table manners with the food and scratch...

What I can't understand is that the silly guineas don't even seem to eat it much, they jsut don't want the chickens to get it before they can check it out!!
