Hello!! I'm from Hardinsburg, Ky! We just got our 1st chicks this past Spring. 4 red pullets and 2 Speckled Sussex. Both SS turned out to be roosters, so we rehomed one of them. I'm awaiting the arrival of more babies from a Hatchery. Scheduled to arrive the 13th-15th of this month. 2 Buff Orphington, and 1 Speckled Sussex, all r "supposed" to be female. We also just purchased 3 Guineas last week. All my girls have been laying for about 2 weeks. They are 21 weeks old and doing great! I'm totally addicted & LOVE my chickens!!!!!
Hi, y'all. I'm just at the state line near Fort Campbell. I'm relatively new to this backyard hen thing, have a handful of birds (would like more, need more land though. I also follow the middle TN forum, since I 'technically' live on that side of the line - don't hold it against me though. Just wanted to say hey. I hope to catch some swap/sales and maybe shows/fairs nearby, so if anyone has where/when info, please share! Thanks!

What are you looking for and how far are you willing to drive?Any reputable breeders in the Manchester/London area?
Check with crfarm. I know she can help you out with the Marans; not sure how many of the others she has. But I guarantee you she has GORGEOUS purebred birds. She is down near Liberty, KY. You will not be disappointed by her birds. And she is a very nice lady, too.Looking for pure blue egg laying Ameraucanas, and they MUST be guaranteed to lay blue (not green!) eggs, color of birds must be APA standard. Purebred Jersey Giants, Marans, Wyandottes, Silver Penciled Plymouth Rocks, all large fowl, no bantams. It depends on what you have, if you can guarantee purity, and how many for me to really say how far I'd drive. I will tell you that I drove for 2 hours one way to pick up some questionable hens that I turned out to not be very happy with at ALL, so maybe farther, depending on quality.
