Ok, first off, I was wondering where else would sell wire here, since Ace has decided it is a holiday, and is not open. The other hardware store is also not open, so that blows that. But,

Dad has a rabbit cage that a friend gave him. It has 3 cells, 3' x 2 1/2'. He has 3 does but he is putting them all in the same cell!

so i have a cage after all!

I was the one that got the mottleds, and I already told briarpatchfarms that you are first on the list for eggs!!

HeelerDawg got the self blues, and I am first on that list for eggs.

Hmm...what else? You guys talk a lot! I was only gone maybe 20 minutes, and there was 3 more pages!!

It looks like I have a pair of millies already! The two babies I have from Cindy look like a boy and girl! Poor Gertie is going to be lonely tomorrow...I am taking her babies away tonight, they keep sitting around being fluffy. I was only going to take the millies, the BR don't seem too bad, but dad keeps nagging me, so I guess I'll take them all. And Gretta the game hen is losing her baby too. She doesn't really pay much attention to her, and she is always hanging around being a cry baby.

Plus, Tuesday we got to go get the pig to take the the meat processor, and the folks who have the pig have some chickens who I'm told look like Dels - so if they actually are (have not seen them yet) I may buy some hens who are laying, and toss them into the flock until my chicks I ordered are ready to lay this fall.

so, I'm a chicken buying fool lately.

I really need to find someone with feeder pigs, it's great to buy one to butcher, but I have the pen ready, I want to raise my own

Hard to find this time of year, though, I may have to wait til spring for them.

I want a couple more weanling calves, too, got their pen all cleaned up and ready (from the last one we had).

I'm having auction withdrawls !!!!

Yeah, I think I got those at the amish school auction. The spring sale at Liberty I didn't get to, cause we had to do something else.

I'd like to get over there, though, cause I want to get to Knolts again.

AND... I want to eat lunch at Bread of Life!!! they've got the best food!!!

If I could get the boys (and hubby ) to eat rabbit, I'd raise some for meat, but I don't want them for pets, just not my thing.

Those white ones your dad got are HUGE!! (I think they were white, or is my mind going on me again...)

I could raise all of our own meat if my boys weren't so dang picky.

I got plenty of acreage, I could do quail, rabbit, cow, pig, chicken, heck, I'd even toss in a goat, but I haven't ever eaten goat, so maybe I wouldn't even like that

yes abbits can catch it and chickens are alway infected with you cant get rid of it in chickens they are natural carriers just give a little in the rabbits water just incase it travels of there feathers and through the air it kills rabbits with no signs!

Well, at least they'll eat the cows I raise, and the pigs and chickens (although they are already asking if it will taste like store bought chicken

) I'll brine the stuff, make it taste like whatever they want it to taste like
