Congrats Cindy!!!! They look awesome! I had some that I just sold at 6 weeks old full sized eggs. Reds stayed red, and the blacks were black, but they had red in their feathers too. I have one, a roo, that I hatched out about 3 mos ago and he is still a pretty red.

I sent you a PM with the possibilities for the babies.

Tazcat said the red ones grandmas are Olive eggers she got as actually brown eggs...They were supposed to be 2nd gen RSLs, but lay Olive eggs so she thinks farmers EE got the mommas. Then her Olive eggers are bred by a Wellsummer roo. Maybe there'll be some turn out to be girls(Lg brown eggs...mmm).

Poor Miss Piggy has NO feathers on her stomach - I hope they grow back fast.

So far still three chicks.
Will check again when I go turn off lights for the night (and put Miss Celie in because for the second time in two days she refused to go inside - even though tonight she was sopping wet. Stoopid chicken).

Well, when I gave you the buttons, the ones I picked for you ended up being 2 pair, so I guess I'll pick for you again, then keep the ones I pick for you, that way I'll have pairs!

I really need girls, too bad it's too hard to tell on babies! I'll have to wait and see how many hatch. These are the ones from the dead bator, so they are kind of delayed, some more than others

Do they have to be paired up? or can it be one drake and two ducks?

Anyway, I'll leave it up to you, as long as I can get at least one pair, that'd be cool. When I come to check them out, or buy them and take them home (which ever) I'll bring the wild button to swap ya, and I can bring the japs, if ya want then, too.

I really hope it is nice enough friday night, cause I am going to take the spitz boys to sano, and probably loretta, too. If I have to put the bantams into a smaller coop, I need to get rid of the big ones that run all over everyone.

Roscoe bruised my red pyle oegb hen's leg, and she limped for a week. She's a lot better, now - I checked her a few times, no hot areas, and no swelling, so I think he just bum rushed her and knocked her around. He didn't aim for her - he just does that - runs through everyone at top speed and knocks them all over the place. He was running amok one afternoon and the next day I saw her limping a bit - so I'm assuming it was him.

I'm getting those new hens tomorrow (supposedly - if Roger holds up his end and takes me over there.) there are 6 of them.

Hubby got picked for a jury, so that's what he did today, and will be doing tomorrow (and maybe the next day if it drags on).

eta - bruce laughs every time those button boys crow - he loves the sound they make
