Kentucky people

Have any of you Kentuckians ever heard of Olive Hill KY??? If so, please tell me about it.
Also countrygirl......could you tell me the best place on the eastern parts of Kentucky where the best place to find work.......and the best place to look for a farm style life for us and our chickens?
Hi there, I am from Ohio originally but now live in KY about 30 miles south of Lexington, 40 miles north of Somerset Ky. Olive Hill is not far from West Virginia border. I worked with 2 nurses from there. From what they told me, very depressed area with not much work. Olive Hill is near Ashland Ky which is an oil refining town.

If anyone is close to Pike county Kentucky I have 10 Black Copper Marans chicks for sale. 4 are 3 weeks old and 6 are 1 week old.
They lay a really cool egg! How much for them? I have (5) 1 month old chicks i could place with now? I am in Louisville Ky. Would you know now if they are pullets, i can't keep a rooster since he is a game chicken, i have 3 males here that i have to sale off.. lol

I'm starting them off at $5.00 each. If I have them longer then 2 weeks then the price will go up slightly each week. I should know genders on mine fairly accurately by 5 weeks old. Mine the key thing to look for to tell if its a rooster early on is wattle development. The breeder of my original Marans told me that if wattles started growing before 4 weeks it was a boy. So far with the ones I got from him, and the chicks i've hatched its been true. But then your line may develop at a different rate then mine do.

Good Price

I have light blue egg layer, white egg layer, light brown egg, and now want to have a Chocolate egg, then i try for a Olive egger when the hens i get from you, since my rooster is a brown egg rooster. Let me know when you are sure they are Pullets, and if you sell them before i can get some, that be cool :),
Another reason i want this breed is they can hold there own, unlike some that are just lay back and get put on the low end of the pecking order and something i don't want to happen to new hen.. it takes a while to add new hens, good thing my polish has Amerciana mix or she be getting chased around.
Warm weather will be here when i do add the new hens to the coop, that be plus, since there are being kept inside, i think we all be happy when we can get above freezing temps.,
