Good question about the swaps. We've had our birds for nearly a year and we're just getting ready to set some eggs to hatch. So this kind of info would be great for us.

I'm in Stanford. Also looking for local breeders or folks with hatching eggs/chicks that they may sell or swap.

We live just outside of Elizabethtown in Eastview....welcome to KY.

Several areas have small swaps/auctions, your best bet to find one in your area is to ask at your feed store. NOT at TSC, they don't know anything, but a real, honest to goodness feed store

and welcome to the Bluegrass state!

Well, we have a Southern States but the staff turnover is a bit insane. I'll ask the farmer leasing our land. I know he knows about hogs, cattle and goat sales. We live near a large Amish community - I know stuff exists. Just living in town, I guess we're out of the loop. haha I know there are other resources for getting the info - just need to check things out. I'm aware of an "honest to goodness" feed store in a nearby town. Been wanting to see what they are like, so that may be the motivation. Thanks.

Most of the Amish/Mennonite communities in this area have auctions once or twice a year, so I'm sure you'd have that at least.

the closest swap meet to you would be the Leitchfield one. Just google the Leitchfield walmart and you will be within a mile of the swap. It is just down the road from Walmart and across from the TSC. There is a fruit stand in from of where the animals are. It runs on Wed. mornings and they are an hour behind us.

Ok I'm in Paintsville Kentucky, whats the closest to me and what's coming up within 50-75 miles of me?
