How old are they? You could probably sell or give away the roo for the cost of shipping on the BYC auctions. If they are purebred, that could work for you. Or take him to a chicken swap (which by the way are few and far between in this area). The other option is Craigs list.

I have one blue bantam Cochin pullet, 1 bantam Brahma hen, and 2 Buff bantam Orpingtons - one of them is a pullet, the other one looks like a roo, but doesn't act like it, so I' m waiting for an egg or a crow. I don't have room for any more (unless that Orp is a boy), but I love the Cochins. Where did you get yours? Are you a member of CLUCK, and on their Facebook page? One of the moderators there has black bantam Cochins, and said she got them at a swap in Paris.

Haha yea I got them from a guy in Richmond the hamburgs came from a hatchery and no what is CLUCK? I'm pretty new to this so this is the.only place I look at

CLUCK is the Coop(erative) of Lexington Urban Chicken Keepers. It's mostly a Facebook group, but they have had a coop tour, and sometimes they have a meeting, or speakers that talk on topics we would all be interested in. (getting started in urban chickens, feeding to optimize condition, etc.) 'Members' post on facebook when they have a problem, birds for sale, looking for a certain kind of feed, that kind of thing.

Come on over and join up!
